Christie's confirmed a technology security incident after the RansomHub extortion gang claimed responsibility and posted Christie's on its dark web extortion portal, alleging theft of personal data (full names, addresses, ID details) for around 500,000 clients; the company says some client personal data was taken but that there is no evidence of compromised financial or transactional records and that affected clients and regulators are being notified.
