Microsoft disclosed that April Edge updates unintentionally added a small “Microsoft Copilot” app entry to Windows 10/11 and some Server builds, then issued fixes on April 18, April 26, and June 13 (Edge 126.0.2592.56) to stop further installs and remove the component, stating it neither enabled Copilot nor collected data; after updating Edge, the entry no longer appears in Installed apps.
