Microsoft will automatically install Microsoft 365 companion apps (People, Files, Calendar) with Copilot integration on Windows 11 devices that have the Microsoft 365 desktop apps between late October and December 2025; apps will auto-launch by default but admins can opt out via the Microsoft 365 Apps admin center and users can disable auto-start in each app's settings.
