Lost iPhone? Don’t fall for phishing texts saying it was found

The Swiss NCSC warns of a phishing (smishing) campaign that messages contact details shown on a lost iPhone’s lock screen or uses the device’s SIM to send convincing texts impersonating Apple’s Find My team; victims are lured to fake Find My pages to enter Apple ID credentials so attackers can disable Activation Lock and take control of the device. The advisory explains attack mechanics, possible information sources, shows sample phishing text and pages, and lists mitigations including using Lost Mode, avoiding unsolicited links, protecting your SIM with a PIN, and keeping Activation Lock enabled.
