French agency Pajemploi reports data breach affecting 1.2M people

Pajemploi, the French social-security service for home-based childcare providers, suffered a data breach detected on 14 November that may have exposed personal information for up to 1.2 million registered caregivers. The leaked data reportedly includes names, places of birth, postal addresses, social security numbers, bank institution names, and internal identifiers; ANSSI and CNIL were notified, parts of the data were said to have appeared on the dark web, and no ransomware group has claimed responsibility.
