CannonDesign confirms Avos Locker ransomware data breach

CannonDesign experienced an Avos Locker ransomware intrusion in January 2023 that resulted in the exfiltration of multiple terabytes of corporate and personal data (including SSNs and driver’s license numbers); the stolen data was later posted by Dunghill Leaks and shared on dark web forums, affecting over 13,000 current and former employees and prompting delayed notification and credit-monitoring offers.
