Kaiser Permanente disclosed that certain online trackers previously installed on its websites and mobile applications may have transmitted personal information for about 13.4 million current and former members to third-party vendors including Google, Microsoft Bing, and X. The leaked data reportedly included IP addresses, names, indicators that a user was signed in, website and app navigation behavior, and health-related search terms; it did not include passwords, SSNs, or financial data. The trackers were removed after an internal review, no misuse is currently known, and affected individuals will be notified.
