Healthcare tech firm CareCloud says hackers stole patient data

CareCloud disclosed a March 16, 2026 intrusion that temporarily disrupted one EHR environment for roughly eight hours and resulted in unauthorized access to patient health records; the company engaged external forensic and cyber-response advisors, restored services, and is investigating the scope and potential exfiltration of sensitive data. No ransomware group has claimed responsibility and CareCloud reported the attacker no longer has access.
