Microsoft Defender flags legitimate Google search links as malicious

Microsoft investigated and resolved an incident in which Defender for Office 365 Safe Links inaccurately flagged legitimate Google search URLs as malicious, blocking access and generating related alerts in the Defender portal and Microsoft Sentinel; the company attributed the problem to an inaccurate security classification and reported that mitigation has been applied though some users may see residual impact while changes propagate.
