Microsoft addressed a known issue causing the Copilot Chat/Copilot buttons to disappear in Classic Outlook for Windows (advising a June 29, 2026 service change, restart, updating to the latest build, or reverting to a prior Current Channel build as workarounds), and is investigating Outlook crashes on systems with Kaspersky Antivirus tied to the Kaspersky Mail Checker (mcou.dll), advising affected users to check Event 1000 entries and contact Kaspersky support.
