Microsoft: New Remote Desktop warnings may display incorrectly

Microsoft warned that a new UI/display bug introduced with the April 2026 cumulative updates can cause Remote Desktop (.rdp) security warning dialogs to render incorrectly (overlapping text and misplaced buttons) on systems using multiple monitors with different scaling, potentially preventing users from reading or interacting with the security prompt; the advisory also describes the new RDP security protections (one-time educational prompt, signing/publisher info, disabled resource redirections) and notes prior abuse of RDP files by threat actors.
