OpenAI is testing enhancements to ChatGPT’s Temporary Chat that allow sessions to remain ephemeral and excluded from history/training while still respecting user personalization (custom instructions, style, tone), with the option to disable; for safety, chats may be retained for up to 30 days. The report also highlights a new age-prediction model that can apply content restrictions based on inferred age, with verification available to remove incorrect limitations.
