Two men guilty of breaching law enforcement portal in blackmail scheme

Two members of the hacking group ViLE pleaded guilty to using a stolen police officer's credentials to access a restricted federal law enforcement database containing sensitive records, then doxxing and extorting victims by threatening to publish personal information unless paid; one defendant also impersonated law enforcement to obtain user data from social platforms and sold compromised social media accounts.
