Mozilla released Firefox 149, which introduces a built-in in-browser VPN offering up to 50 GB of monthly traffic (with per-site controls and U.S.-based routing), a Split View tab feature, and automatic blocking/revocation of permissions for sites flagged by SafeBrowsing; the release also includes fixes for 46 security issues. The VPN rollout begins in the U.S., UK, Germany, and France, and Mozilla says it will collect minimal technical usage data to maintain service performance.
