Man gets six years for hacking 750 women's Snapchat accounts

An Illinois man, Kyle Svara, was sentenced to 76 months in prison after admitting that between May 2020 and February 2021 he phished Snapchat access codes from over 4,500 targets, accessed approximately 517 accounts to download nude and semi-nude photos, activated two-factor authentication to lock out victims, and traded/sold stolen images (including CSAM) online; investigators found roughly 530 images and 600 videos of CSAM in his cloud storage, and his activities included offering paid hacking services to clients.
