CloudSEK reports a widespread scam campaign using deepfake videos of celebrities and fake news anchors to advertise an 'Aviator' gambling/investment app; the attackers register thousands of .top/.fun/.world domains, create fake Google/Apple storefront pages, push Facebook/Instagram ads, and deliver a proxy_chrome executable that funnels victims into a paid play/login flow (1win-like) with multiple payment options. The scheme uses initial small payouts to build trust, then encourages large deposits, and targets regions including India, Kenya/Africa, Pakistan, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia and Southeast Asia while employing evasion tactics such as brief deepfake clips followed by static frames.
