Incidents and incident reports in 2018

**Executive summary:** CERT Polska's 2018 incident statistics show 19,439 incident reports resulting in 3,739 registered security incidents (over 10 incidents per day), dominated by phishing (44%), malware (23%) and fraud; key trends include phishing campaigns targeting Polish banks and popular services, growth of fake online shops, widespread email-based malware (malicious attachments, scripts, macro documents) and an increase in ransomware incidents, with the banking sector and individual/other entities most affected.
