On June 29 VirusTotal experienced an accidental exposure when an employee uploaded a CSV containing limited Premium customer data (company names, VT group names, and group administrator emails) to the Premium platform; partners flagged the file and it was removed within an hour. VirusTotal asserts there was no cyber-attack or platform vulnerability, access was restricted to Premium partners, and new internal processes and technical controls have been implemented.
