Rethinking security for the age of AI

Project Perception is Microsoft’s announcement of a new AI-first “Cyber Stack” and agentic security system designed to continuously perceive, reason and act across an organization’s digital estate. The document describes layered components (signals and sensors, context, models, harness, agents, actuators), a multi-model strategy including MAI-Cyber-1-Flash in MDASH for vulnerability management, integration with Microsoft Security products, emphasis on safety and Responsible AI, and that Project Perception enters public preview on August 3.
