Web3 and Security: It’s Time To Grow Up

This post argues that Web3 projects often operate with low security maturity—relying on one-time audits and public development—creating high-risk, high-impact failures. It urges both security professionals and blockchain developers to adopt security-as-a-process practices (threat modeling, continuous audits, clear vulnerability disclosure, bug bounties, and published guidance) and highlights cultural and operational differences that complicate applying traditional security approaches to blockchain ecosystems.
