The Data Sovereignty Paradox

Symantec announces Distributed Detection Service (DDS), an in-tenant, containerized DLP scanning architecture that processes raw data locally and forwards only metadata and incident reports to centralized management; DDS is positioned to preserve data sovereignty, reduce latency and egress costs, and enable use cases like AI safety guardrails, real-time API security, ML training-data privacy, east–west traffic inspection, and large-scale data discovery for organizations with strict in-tenant requirements.
