Pangu Lab announced 'ZipperDown', a vulnerability believed to exist in a widely used third-party iOS library that may affect roughly 10% of apps (about 100 million users) and can enable data corruption or code execution when exploited via a man-in-the-middle (MITM). Zimperium describes how its on-device, machine-learning product (zIPS/z9) detects MITMs and the associated exploit attempts and can prevent them from executing without requiring app updates.
