Zimperium's z9 Engine Detected the Recent Adware with Rooting Capabilities without an Update

A newly identified Android trojanized adware family named Shuanet exploits Android vulnerabilities to automatically root devices, hide in the system directory, and enable persistent surveillance and installation of additional components. It is the third related family alongside GhostPush and Kemoge, collectively linked to over 20,000 samples; Zimperium's z9 engine reportedly detects this threat. Recommended remediation includes blocking corporate access from infected devices, flashing a new OS (factory reset insufficient), and changing passwords.
