“Ghost Tapping” Scam Loads Stolen Card Data onto Mobile Wallets

A report warns of a scam called “ghost tapping” where fraudsters provision stolen payment card data and one-time passcodes onto burner phones and then use mobile wallets and mule operators to make unauthorized purchases and ATM withdrawals, bypassing traditional detection and increasing risk to consumers and financial institutions.
