Deep Dive into Phishing Chronology: Threats and Trends

This report analyzes 88,014 phishing URLs collected in March 2024 to characterize phishing site lifecycles and detection timelines, finding that ~60% of newly registered phishing domains obtain SSL certificates within two hours, ~87% of phishing URLs use HTTPS, and roughly half of domains remain undiscovered for more than a week — underscoring the need for zero-day, on-device, real-time phishing detection.
