zLabs at Zimperium analyzed 54,648 enterprise-used mobile apps and found pervasive risks: 62% use cloud APIs, 103 Android apps had unprotected/misconfigured cloud storage (including popular apps), 10 contained exposed AWS credentials, and 88% of apps (43% of the top 100) used cryptographic methods that do not follow best practices. The report emphasizes the high potential for data exposure, compliance violations, and financial loss, and recommends app vetting focused on cloud security, cryptography, and third-party components.
