Financial Apps Are Not As Safe As You Think

Zimperium's analysis of 160 financial mobile apps found a high prevalence of critical and high-severity vulnerabilities (nearly 85% of Android and 70% of iOS apps), with banking apps particularly affected; the report also documents active mobile banking malware (Ghimob, EventBot, Cerberus) and a notable third-party-driven breach (Dave.com), outlines the business and regulatory risks of insecure fintech apps, and recommends app-shielding and DevSecOps controls while promoting Zimperium's Mobile Application Protection Suite.
