Security advisory: Unencrypted storage of confidential information in Keeper® Password & Data Vault v5.3 for iOS

Fox-IT disclosed a critical vulnerability in Keeper Password & Data Vault for iOS v5.3 where confidential data—including the user's master password and stored entry contents—were transmitted and persisted unencrypted in local NSURLCache-backed SQLite files, allowing retrieval by anyone with filesystem access (e.g., via jailbreak). The vendor reportedly declined cooperation; an App Store update was claimed to address the issue. Users are advised to update or switch password managers and change any exposed credentials.
