Update on DecryptCryptoLocker

This report documents Fox-IT and FireEye's DecryptCryptoLocker service which has provided roughly 2,900 valid decryption keys to CryptoLocker victims, includes victim feedback and usage statistics, and discusses the evolving ransomware landscape—noting code reuse from P2P Zeus, new variants and copycats such as CryptoWall, and continued criminal interest in ransomware despite the original CryptoLocker operators being disrupted.
