Cisco Issues Patches for 48 Vulnerabilities in Enterprise Networking Products

Cisco published 25 combined security advisories on March 4 addressing 48 vulnerabilities in Secure Firewall ASA, FMC, and FTD products; the most severe are two CVSS 10 flaws in Secure FMC (an authentication bypass and an RCE via insecure Java deserialization) that can lead to root access and have no known workarounds, and customers are urged to apply the vendor’s fixes. The bundle also includes 15 high-severity and 31 medium-severity issues.
