Emojis in PureRAT’s Code Point to AI-Generated Malware Campaign

Researchers report an active PureRAT campaign: a remote-access trojan and infostealer being distributed through phishing emails masquerading as job offers. Analysis by Symantec and Carbon Black found evidence the attackers used AI to generate code (including emojis and verbose comments), and code/language artifacts suggest a Vietnam-based actor; the malware provides persistent remote access enabling data theft or sale of compromised machines.
