ISACA Named Global Credentialing Authority for DoD’s CMMC Program

ISACA has been named by the US Department of Defense as the exclusive global credentialing authority for the CMMC program and will serve as the CMMC Assessor and Instructor Certification Organization (CAICO). The DoD published its final CMMC rule effective November 10, 2025, initiating a phased rollout through 2028 that is expected to require CMMC credentials for over 200,000 contractors worldwide, including many European organizations handling FCI/CUI.
