Mobile Guardian Hack Leads to 13,000 Student Devices Wiped in Singapore

Singapore’s Ministry of Education reported that roughly 13,000 student iPads and Chromebooks from 26 secondary schools were remotely unenrolled and wiped after unauthorized access to Mobile Guardian, a UK-based device-management vendor; Mobile Guardian has halted services, is working with affected users and authorities to restore devices, and states there is no evidence of data exfiltration.
