US Nationals Jailed for Operating Fake Remote Worker Laptop Farms for North Korea

Two U.S. nationals were sentenced for running a multi-year scheme that used at least 80 stolen U.S. identities to place North Korean remote IT workers at more than 100 organizations, steal sensitive data and source code from targets (including military contractors and AI firms), launder over $5M to the DPRK via shell companies, and provide remote access through laptop farms; several co-conspirators remain at large.
