Net Closes Around ShinyHunters with Another FBI Arrest

The FBI arrested a Canadian cybersecurity executive allegedly linked to the ShinyHunters group after the actors exploited an Oracle PeopleSoft vulnerability to breach FBIjobs.gov, pivot to AWS GovCloud, and exfiltrate 2–3 TB of sensitive FBI employee data (names, addresses, dates of birth, social security numbers); multiple arrests and investigative actions are ongoing and a contractor was reportedly removed for failing to patch the vulnerability.
