Louvre to Bolster Its Security, Issues €57m Public Tender

Following a high-profile theft at the Louvre’s Apollo Gallery, the museum has issued a €57m public tender to overhaul its security and safety infrastructure. The procurement seeks interoperable, scalable solutions including a digital safety management platform, integrated IT/physical security monitoring with a user-friendly HMI, a revamped CCTV/VMS, ANSSI‑certified access control mechanisms, and improved intrusion and close-proximity artwork detection, with work to proceed without suspending museum operations.
