Coalition of Western Countries Launches 6G Cybersecurity Guidelines

GCOT, a coalition of seven governments joined by major telecom vendors, published voluntary 6G Security and Resilience Principles at Mobile World Congress 2026 to guide secure, resilient development of 6G networks; the principles emphasize containment, confidentiality, integrity, resilience, regulatory compliance, robust failover, alternative PNT, and adoption of Open RAN to support AI-native, virtualized and disaggregated 6G architectures.
