Europol, working with Swiss and German law enforcement, took down the Cryptomixer cryptocurrency mixing service between 24–28 November, seizing €25m in Bitcoin, three servers, the cryptomixer.io domain and over 12 TB of data; the hybrid clear-web/dark-web mixer—used by ransomware groups and other criminal marketplaces—had mixed an estimated €1.3bn since 2016 and has been shut down.
