Apple Blocked $2.2bn in App Store Fraud in the Last Year

Apple says its App Store defenses prevented over $2.2 billion in fraudulent transactions last year (over $11.2 billion in six years), blocked 1.1 billion fraudulent account creations, deactivated 40.4 million accounts, terminated 193,000 developer accounts, removed 28,000 illegitimate apps (many clones delivering malware), and prevented the use of 5.4 million stolen credit cards by combining human review with machine learning to detect fraud.
