Infosecurity Europe: Why JLR’s CISO Enforced In-Person Password Resets Following Cyber-Attack

Jaguar Land Rover was hit by a major cyber-attack in September 2025 attributed to a group linked to Scattered Spider; the attack halted production and sales for weeks, impacted over 5,000 supply-chain organizations, and is estimated to have cost the UK economy £1.9bn. In response, the company required 30,000 staff to perform an on-site enterprise-wide password and MFA reset to validate identities and regain trusted communications.
