Five Charged in “Russian Coms” Fraud Platform Case

Five people in London have been charged in connection with Russian Coms, a vishing platform marketed since 2020 that allowed criminals to spoof trusted numbers and conduct large-scale scam calls; the service (handset and web-based) offered features like encrypted calls, voice-changing, burner/wipe apps, VPNs and subscription pricing, and is linked to over 1.3 million scam calls and tens of millions in victim losses, with law enforcement pursuing arrests and asset seizures.
