#BHUSA: 17.8m Phishing Emails Detected in First Half of 2024

Darktrace's Half Year Threat Report (H1 2024) documents extensive phishing (17.8 million emails detected) with high bypass rates of DMARC and other defenses, growing usage of cybercrime-as-a-service (MaaS/RaaS), notable prevalence of information-stealers, RATs, botnets and loaders, active ransomware families employing double extortion, and increased exploitation of edge infrastructure vulnerabilities (including Ivanti, TeamCity, FortiClient EMS, and Palo Alto PAN-OS).
