Global Cyber Agencies Issue New SBOMs for AI Guidance to Tackle AI Supply Chain Risks

G7 cybersecurity agencies, in collaboration with the EU Commission, published 'Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) for Artificial Intelligence - Minimum Elements' on 12 May, defining seven clusters (Metadata; System Level Properties; Models; Dataset Properties; Key Performance Indicators; Infrastructure; Security Properties) to improve transparency in AI systems and supply chains and recommending SBOMs be paired with vulnerability scanning, advisories, and other security tools to effectively strengthen AI supply-chain security.
