Most CNI Firms Face Up to £5m in Downtime from OT Attacks

A survey of 250 UK critical national infrastructure cybersecurity decision-makers by e2e-assure finds substantial OT downtime costs (commonly £100k–£5m) and growing concern about nation-state disruption; the report highlights recent Iranian hacking activity (a year-long campaign using password spraying and MFA-bombing), common entry vectors such as phishing and compromised credentials, supply-chain risks, limited OT visibility, and the significant operational and reputational impacts of OT breaches.
