Most Cybersecurity Professionals Feel Undervalued and Underpaid

The Harvey Nash Global Tech Talent & Salary Report found most cybersecurity professionals did not receive pay rises and many feel undervalued and likely to seek new roles; despite high-profile incidents (e.g., Jaguar Land Rover ransomware, Change Healthcare breach) only 22% said their organizations increased cybersecurity resources. Cybersecurity skills remain in demand, but pay and recognition gaps risk increased attrition and potential business exposure; the survey polled 3,646 technology professionals between 4 Nov 2025 and 26 Jan 2026.
