Progress Restores ShareFile Storage Zones Access After Security Warning

Progress restored access to its ShareFile Storage Zones Controller after a four-day suspension prompted by a credible external security threat. The company found a high-severity path traversal vulnerability affecting Storage Zones Controller versions 5.x and 6.x and released patched versions (5.12.5 and 6.0.2). Progress has not yet published a CVE to give customers time to patch and says there is no evidence of unauthorized access; the report references Progress’s prior MOVEit breach history.
