Over 80% of Sports Organizations Targeted by Hackers in the Last Year

**Darktrace report: sports organisations heavily targeted** — Darktrace found 84% of professional sports organisations were targeted by cyber-attacks in the past year (57% hit multiple times), with attackers leveraging phishing, social engineering, supply-chain weaknesses and AI-enabled lures to pursue data theft, ransomware and DDoS disruption; 19% more phishing was observed versus other sectors and 84% of phishing bypassed DMARC, prompting recommendations to adopt behavioural security focused on human and AI behaviours.
