UK's Cyber Service for Telcos Blocks One Billion Malicious Site Attempts

The UK's NCSC Share and Defend service, introduced in May 2024, has blocked almost one billion attempts to access scam or malicious websites by collecting and sharing threat intelligence and indicators of compromise with ISPs and industry partners (including BT, Vodafone, TalkTalk, PXC, Cyber Defence Alliance and Jisc) to enforce DNS-level blocks; the announcement accompanied plans to publish a National Cyber Action Plan and update the National Cyber Strategy in 2026.
