NIST Publishes New Zero Trust Implementation Guidance

NIST has issued practical guidance for implementing Zero Trust Architecture, presenting 19 example deployments developed with NCCoE collaborators using commercial technologies and covering build types such as enhanced identity governance (crawl/run), software-defined perimeter, microsegmentation, SASE, and a baseline lab environment. The guidance highlights growing adoption (including regulatory drivers), clarifies misconceptions, and emphasizes the need for strong identity, policy enforcement, and security analytics while noting that implementations are context-specific and do not imply endorsement of particular vendors.
