Fake Streams, Counterfeit Merch and Other Scams: How Fraudsters Target F1 Fans

Bitdefender warns that cybercriminal ecosystems target Formula 1 fans with scams such as fake streaming APKs that install infostealers or ad/fraudware, counterfeit merchandise/phishing websites, and cheap streaming boxes with preinstalled malware; these operations use social engineering (ads on social media, Discord, Telegram, Clickfix) to monetize victims and can recruit devices into botnets for DDoS.
